The system has a remedy in place called the Independent Medical Examination (IME). An IME serves as a neutral ground to evaluate your medical condition. It's conducted by a third-party physician who doesn't have any vested interests in the case's outcome.
How to Request an IME?
If you find yourself needing an IME, you'll want to use Form LWC-WC 1015, titled 'Request for Independent Medical Examination'. This form can be downloaded, filled, and should be submitted to the Medical Services Section of the Office of Workers' Compensation Administration (OWCA).
